REMEMBER & TELL SERVICE

49th Annual SOMA Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service

Remember & Tell invites the community to gather on Sunday, March 15, 2026, for its annual Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service.

This meaningful afternoon begins with a March of Remembrance & Hope at 2:00 PM at Indiana Parking Lot, followed by the Remembrance Service at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

This year’s service will feature keynote speaker Eva Wiener, a Holocaust survivor whose powerful story reminds us of the profound impact of moral courage and individual choice. Eva was the youngest girl aboard the MS St. Louis in 1939, a ship carrying Jewish refugees turned away from safe harbor during the rise of Nazi persecution.

As part of this year’s remembrance, attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to support local food banks, affirming our shared responsibility to care for our neighbors.

All are welcome — people of every faith and background — to come together in remembrance, reflection, and unity.

The Sister Rose Thering Holocaust Education Award will be awarded to:

Christopher Kaiser

Youth Minister at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. We recognize his commitment to Holocaust education and interfaith understanding.

Sponsored by: South Orange / Maplewood Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Committee
Co-Sponsor: Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ Holocaust Council
